She then further explains to make plurals from possessive singular nouns 1. add ‘s’ to the plural if the plural noun does not end in ‘s’ e.g a woman’s bag – women’s bag a mouse’s tail - mice’s tail a child’s toy- children’s toys a man’s shirt – men’s shirts
2. add only (’) to the plural noun which ends in ‘s’ e.g A girl’s dress- girls’ dresses A boy’s uniform- boys’ uniforms A teacher’s table – teacher’s tables
3. for a compound word add (’s) to the last word e.g Brother-in-law - brothers-in-law’s Sister-in-law - sisters-in-law’s | Pupils observe, learn and participate |
