INTRODUCTION

The Teacher uses the Prayer is the Key song to introduce the topic.

She gives a simple definition of Prayer. She explains prayer is a method of communicating to God

EXPLANATION

She List and explains the different types of Prayer.

1.Intercessory prayer

2.Thanksgiving prayer

3. Confession of Sin

4. Petition Prayer

5. Praise and Worship

6. Supplication Prayer

DEMONSTRATION

Using the Bible story books and the Bible, she gives further explanation to Intercession and Thanksgiving prayer

          - She explains that Intercession Prayer is the act of praying on behalf others. She gives illustrations in the bible where intercessory prayers were done like

        - death of Jesus when he prayed for the forgiveness of the sin of all those who persecuted him

       -How the Church prayed for Peter when he was in Prison. Acts 12:5

         -She further explains Thanksgiving Prayer as the act of giving thanks to God for what you are grateful for.

­- Thanksgiving prayer can be seen in the book of psalm 136

NOTE

There are different types of prayer. Intercessory prayer is prayer for other people rather than yourself while Thanksgiving prayer is Prayer thanking God for what he has done in your life.
