1.Discuss the value of constancy in prayer.

2.Describe right attitude to prayer

Instructional Materials: toys, picture book showing Jesus telling the crowd of the Parable of the Judge and the Widow, Bible, story book

STEP 1

INTRODUCTION

The Teacher recite the Lord’s Prayer and the student repeat. She gives further definitions of Prayer and illustrates how to pray by having a class prayer together

EXPLANATION

She discusses about the right attitude to Prayer and the value of consistency in prayer.

She further gives reason why Jesus instruct his disciples to always pray

DEMONSTRATION

Using the bible story books and the pictures there in she tells the Parable of the Judge and the widow

          -How a widow who needed help from the Judge (who doesn’t fear God) who could solve her 

            problem

          -The judge refuse to help her but because of her continual disturbance the Judge decided to help her. Lk 18:2-8

She uses the message Jesus used to teach the people about prayer

          -Matt 6:5-14

NOTE

There is a right attitude to prayer. When one pray, don’t do so by comparing yourself with people. It is better to pray in a quiet place free from noise and watchful eyes. Also, when one pray follow the order as given in the Lord’s Prayer.

2.The Judge helped the widow because_______. (He felt pity for her, He became 

tired of her disturbance)
