1) Explain and trace origin of colour.

2) Identify the basic colours (Red, Yellow and Blue) in/outside the classroom

3) Relate the basic colours with objects in/outside the classroom

STEP 1

INTRODUCTION

The Teacher Defines colour as a phenomenon of light (such as red, brown, pink, or grey) or visual perception that enables one to differentiate otherwise identical objects.

EXPLANATION

She further explains that colours are grouped into two: Primary and Secondary colours. She explains how Artist invented the First pigment- a combination of soil, animal fat, burnt charcoal and chalk around 40,0000 years ago creating five colours: red, yellow, black, brown, and white.

Using Pictures, crayon, drawing book the Teacher assist the pupils in drawing shapes and using crayons to shade it.

NOTE

Colour is a phenomenon of light that enables one to differentiate object of different visual appearance.

Group of Colour

Primary Colour: These are colour that cannot be gotten by mixing of colours. They are used to form other colours. They include Red, Yellow and Blue.

Secondary Colour: These are colours that are gotten from the combination of Primary Colours

Red + Yellow= Orange

Blue + Red= Purple

Blue + Yellow= Green

Tertiary Colour: These are gotten from the combination of primary and secondary colours. E.g Blue-Green, Red-violet)
