SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson, the pupil should be able to

1) Distinguish objects of different sizes in/outside the classroom.

2) Draw objects of various sizes and shapes (small and big)

3) Identify types and size of object around them. E.g Small chair, Big chair, small and big cup etc

INSTRUCTIONAL TECHNIQUES: Identification, explanation, playword, method, questions and answers, demonstration.

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIAL: Audio visual resources: Object like cup, Chairs, Table, Biscuit etc

STEP 1

INTRODUCTION

She introduces the Basic plane shapes like circle, rectangle, square etc using pictures and show the student how to draw these shapes of different sizes

EXPLANATION

The teacher explains that shapes can be drawn in different sizes. It can be bigger or smaller than the original shapes

DEMONSTRATION

Using Pictures, pencil and a drawing book the teacher assist the pupils in drawing shapes of various sizes both big and small

The teacher writes the note on the board while the pupils copy.

NOTE

All object can be Identified by the shapes drawn. This Object can be Big or small depending on the size of the shape. There is a clear different between a big chair and a small chair this is because of the size of the shape used to Identify each chair.

EVALUATION:  1) Shapes can be drawn in different sizes. (True/False)

2)An Object drawn on Paper can only be small. (True/False)
