SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to

  1. Explain the importance of Prayers in the Life of a Christian.
  2. State the significance of Prayer in the Life of Jesus.
  3. Use passages from the Bible to explain the instances when and why Jesus prayed

Instructional Materials: toys, picture book showing Jesus praying with his disciples, Bible, story book

STEP 1

INTRODUCTION

The Teacher tells the student that Jesus Prayed because he wanted to talk to God who knows all things so that he will not be misled .

The Teacher should clarify to the student that as a Christian one always ought to pray and to explain the significance of praying as a Christian

EXPLANATION

She explains that through prayer one can ask God to do things for him which he cannot do as seen in the Life of Jesus

DEMONSTRATION

Using the Bible story books and the pictures there in she tells the story of Jesus how he Fed five thousand people

         -How a Large number of people came to meet in the mountain.

         -how Jesus ask Philip where they could buy food for the crowd but Philip expressed doubt of how  they could feed the people

         -how two loaves of bread and two fishes where Provided  by a little boy

         -How Jesus gave thanks(Prayed) and there was Multiplication. Jn 6:2-13
