STEP 1

INTRODUCTION

The teacher introduces the topic with the if you’re strong and you know it song;

 

She explains that a ‘lassie’ refers to a little girl while a ‘laddie’ refers to a little boy

The pupils pay attention and participate

STEP 2

EXPLANATION

The teacher explains the rhymes and shows them a picture of a ‘lassie’ and a ‘laddie’

 

She also explains the wordings one after the other

Pupils listen

STEP 3

RECITATION

The teacher recites the rhyme as many times as possible and asks the pupils to do same.

Did you ever see a lassie,
Go this way and that?


Go this way and that way,
