Content:   Simple comprehension passage.

Specific Objectives: At the end of the lesson, the pupils should be able to

  1. Pronounce, spell, read and write common sight words
  2. Read and answer questions from a simple comprehension passage

Instructional Material: Letter charts, charts of common sight words, comprehension passage

Instructional Techniques: Repetition, explanation, demonstration, question and answers 

Entry Behaviour: The pupils can identify adjectives and its examples  

Set Induction: The teacher uses alphabet rhyme to arouse them

Periods I-II: Common sight words

She explains that sight words are words that cannot be pronounced with the sound of the letters
