INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS: Activity book/Drawing book, Colours (coloured pencils, crayons, poster colours), pictures of different hearts

STEP 1

INTRODUCTION

-The teacher uses the Queen of hearts song to introduce the topic and explains that heart is a shape that is used to represent love

 

The teacher shows the children the pictures of different of hearts

Pupils pay attention

STEP 2

IDENTIFICATION

The teacher shows them the hearts in their activity book and asks them to identify them

 

She then asks them to count the number of hearts there are

 

Pupils draw and colour a heart following what the teacher does

STEP 3

DRAWING AND COLOURING

The teacher shares out their books for them to draw and colour a heart

 

 

EVALUATION:    1. Identify hearts

  1. How many hearts are in the activity book?
  2. Draw and Colour a heart

CLASSWORK: As in evaluation

CONCLUSION: The teacher commends the pupils positively
