  3. Describe what a crown is
  4. Recite the rhymes with ease

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS: Collection of poems and rhymes book, pictures of a boy and a girl fetching water

STEP 1

INTRODUCTION

The teacher introduces the topic with if you’re happy and you know it song;

She explains that a pail is an item used in fetching water.

She also explains that the crown is their tooth

 

The pupils pay attention and participate

STEP 2

EXPLANATION

The teacher explains the rhymes and shows them the picture of a boy and girl fetching water.

 

She also explains the wordings one after the other

Pupils listen

STEP 3

RECITATION

The teacher recites the rhyme as many times as possible and asks the pupils to do same.

 

Jack and Jill went up the hill
To fetch a pail of water.
Jack fell down and broke his crown,
And Jill came tumbling after.
