TOPIC: Love and Care for orphaned and vulnerable children

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to:

1) Give a simple meaning of orphaned and vulnerable children

2) Discuss ways of taking care of them and showing love to them

INSTRUCTIONAL TECHNIQUES: Identification, Explanation, Play-way Method, Questions and Answers, Demonstrations, and Storytelling.

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS: Posters, Charts, and Pictures of showing orphaned and vulnerable children

NOTE:

Orphaned children are children deprived by death of one or usually both parents

Vulnerable children are children who are weak and without protection which can cause them to be hurt physically and emotionally.

Ways of taking care of them and showing love to them

• send a box of love to them
• kids can carry out fun activities that benefit orphan and vulnerable children care
• organize a visit and give them items like clothes, shoes, books etc they’re no longer using
