SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to:

1) Give a simple meaning of orphaned and vulnerable children

2) Discuss ways of taking care of them and showing love to them

STEP 1

INTRODUCTION

The teacher uses a short drama on vulnerable and orphaned children

The teacher explains the meaning of the following: orphaned children are children deprived by death of one or usually both parents

Vulnerable children are children who are weak and without protection which can cause them to be hurt physically and emotionally

Pupils pay attention and answer questions

STEP 2

EXPLANATION

The teacher further explains ways of taking care of them and showing love to them

- send a box of love to them

- kids can carry out fun activities that benefit orphan and vulnerable children care

- organize a visit and give them items like clothes, shoes, books etc they’re no longer using

DEMONSTRATION

Using the Poster, Charts, and Pictures the teacher teaches the children not to make jest of orphaned and vulnerable children
