2) Explain special needs and how to care for them

STEP 1

INTRODUCTION

The teacher uses a short drama on children with special needs

The teacher explains that children with special educational needs are those children who have a learning problem or disability that make it more difficult for them to learn than most children their age.

Pupils pay attention and answer questions

EXPLANATION

The teacher further explains special needs and how to care for them

- children with hearing problems- they require a hearing aid

- visually impaired- they require someone to assist them in moving about

- speech problems- be patient with them when they’re talking

- handicapped- assist them in anyway you can; crossing the road etc

Using the Poster, Charts, and Pictures the teacher teaches the children not to make jest of children with special needs rather they should be of assistance to them.
