SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to

  1. Discuss the simple meaning of orderliness
  2. Explain how to maintain orderliness in the school

INSTRUCTIONAL TECHNIQUES: Identification, explanation, playway method, questions and answers, story telling

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS: pictures of an orderly and a disorderly public places, pictures of materials that can be used to keep the community in order

STEP 1

INTRODUCTION

The teacher uses the try to be an obedient child song to introduce the topic

 

She explains that Orderliness means ensuring that everything has a place and everything is in its place

EXPLANATION

She explains how we can maintain orderliness in our community

-      Join the queue when you are in a public place

-      Throwing away dirts and wastes in the dust bin

-      Being respectful to other members of the community

STORY-TELLING

She tells the children a story about why it is good to be orderly

 

She then ask the children to share with the class what they learnt from the story

The teacher writes a short note on the board
