Content: Making words with silent ‘e’ at the end. Filling gaps, spelling, reading, dictation and writing. Singular and plural(adding s). simple words and their opposites

Specific Objectives: At the end of the lesson, the pupils should be able to

  1. Pronounce, spell, read and write words with silent ‘e’ at the end
  2. Correctly make plural of words by adding ‘s’
  3. State the opposite of simple words

Instructional Material: Letter charts, words ending with silent ‘e’ at the end, charts showing singular and plural of words(by adding s), charts on simple word and their opposites

Instructional Techniques: Repetition, explanation, demonstration, question and answers 

Entry Behaviour: The pupils can spell, pronounce and write three-letter words

Set Induction: The teacher uses alphabet rhyme to arouse them
