STEP 1 INTRODUCTION	The teacher uses a song to introduce the topic The teacher explains that the name of our country is Nigeria	Pupils pay attention and answer questions
STEP 2 EXPLANATION	The teacher further explains that one of our symbols in Nigeria. She then recites the national anthem I pledge to Nigeria my Country To be faithful, loyal and honest To serve Nigeria with all my strength To defend her unity And uphold her honour and glory So help me God.	Pupils recite after her
STEP 3 Recitation	She explains that the national pledge is recited in every Nigerian schools and at the nations celebration of its independence	Pupils repeat after her
STEP 4 NOTE-TAKING	The Teacher writes the national pledge on the board	The Pupils copy the not from the board.
