INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS: picture books, sweets, biscuits, games, pictures showing appreciation

STEP 1

INTRODUCTION

The teacher uses the Magic words song and introduces the topic and explains that appreciation is when we feel grateful for something good done to us

EXPLANATION

She explains the various ways we can show appreciation to parents, elders, teachers and classmates.

-      By saying thank you

-      By being on our best behavior

-      By performing well in our studies

Pupils pay attention and participates

STEP 3

DEMONSTRATION

She demonstrates how to show appreciation when someone does something good to us: Saying thank you and being on our best behaviour

 

She then asks some of the learners to demonstrate any of the ways to show appreciation

NOTE TAKING

The teacher writes a short note on the board

The pupils copy the notes in their books

 

NOTE

Appreciation is when we feel grateful for something good done to us.

  • By performing well in our studies

EVALUATION:    1. We should say thank you whenever our mummy/daddy gives us food. Yes/No
