STEP 1 INTRODUCTION	The teacher uses a song to introduce the topic The teacher explains that the name of our country is Nigeria	Pupils pay attention and answer questions
STEP 2 EXPLANATION	The teacher further explains that one of our symbols in Nigeria. She then recites the national anthem Arise, O compatriots, Nigeria's call obey To serve our fatherland With love and strength and faith The labour of our heroes past Shall never be in vain To serve with heart and might One nation bound in freedom, peace and unity. STEP 3 Recitation	She explains that the national anthem is recited in every Nigerian schools and at the nations celebration of its independence	Pupils repeat after her
