  3. Recite the rhymes with ease

STEP 1

INTRODUCTION

The teacher introduces the topic with the fruit song;

 

She explains that an apple is a edible fruit that comes in red, green and yellow colours

 

She explains that a plum is a small sweet fruit with smooth red or yellow skin and a stone in the middle

 

She explains that a rattle is a case that contains things that produces sounds used a baby’s toy

 

The pupils pay attention and participate

STEP 2

EXPLANATION

The teacher explains the rhymes and shows them the picture of an apple, plum and a rattle

 

She also explains the wordings one after the other

Pupils listen

STEP 3

RECITATION

The teacher recites the rhyme as many times as possible and asks the pupils to do same.

You shall have an apple,
You shall have a plum,
You shall have a rattle,
When papa comes home.
