  2. Mention all the things we can do when a baby is crying
  3. Recite the rhymes with ease

STEP 1

INTRODUCTION

The teacher introduces the topic with a baby song;

 

A crying baby is one who is crying because of one discomfort or the other

The pupils pay attention and participate

STEP 2

EXPLANATION

The teacher explains the rhymes and shows them the picture of a crying baby and people doing things to pacify her

She describes various things we can do to pacify a baby

- Singing

- Dancing

 

Pupils listen

STEP 3

RECITATION

The teacher recites the rhyme as many times as possible and asks the pupils to do same.

 

Hush, little baby, don't say a word, Mama's gonna buy you a mockingbird.

And if that mockingbird don't sing, Mama's gonna buy you a diamond ring.

And if that diamond ring turns brass, Mama's gonna buy you a looking glass.

And if that looking glass gets broke, Mama's gonna buy you a billy goat,

And if that billy goat doesn't pull, Mama's gonna buy you a cart and bull.

And if that cart and bull turn over, Mama's gonna buy you a dog named Rover.

And if that dog named Rover won't bark, Mama's gonna buy you a horse and cart.

And if that horse and cart fall down, well you'll still be the sweetest baby in town.
