  1. Discuss the simple meaning of obedience
  2. Identify ways we can be obedient

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS: picture books, posters/charts showing ways we can be obedient, pupils as learning resource

STEP 1

INTRODUCTION

The teacher uses the if you do good……. song introduces the topic and explains that obedience simply means doing what they asked you to do

Pupils pay attention

EXPLANATION

She explains the various ways we can be obedient to parents, elders and teachers

-      When we go on errands

-      When we greet elders

Pupils pay attention and participates

STEP 3

DEMONSTRATION

She demonstrates how to be obedient

 

She then asks some of the learners to display how to be obedient

Pupils pay attention and participate

NOTE TAKING

She writes a short note on the board

The pupils copy the notes in their books

 

NOTE

Obedience is when we do what we are asked to do. We are to obey our parents, teachers and our elders. We can show that we are obedient by greeting everyone and going on errands.

 

EVALUATION:    1. __________ means doing what we are asked to do. (Respect, obedience)

  1. When our teacher is talking in the class, what should we do? (talk also, listen attentively)
  2. When we go on errands, we show that we are obedient. (Yes/No)
