STEP 1

INTRODUCTION

The teacher uses Hossana, Hossana in the highest song to introduce the topic.

She explains what a colt is- it is a young male horse

EXPLANATION

She then further explains that Jesus knew it was time for Him to die which was the reason why God sent him to the earth so he made a triumphant entry into Jerusalem

Using the bible story books and the pictures there in she tells the story of how Jesus rode into Jerusalem

-      How he sent his disciples ahead to get the ass from where it was tied

-      How he then rode on it into Jerusalem in the midst of loud celebrations from men and women alike as the real Messiah He is

The teacher writes a short note on the board

NOTE

Jesus sent for the ass tied in another village. He rode on it into Jerusalem amidst shouts of “HOSSANA! HOSSANA!! In the Highest!!!. People were waving at him with palm fronds and laying their clothes on the ground calling him the Messiah.
