  • Give a simple meaning of good eating habits
  • List and discuss some good eating habits

INSTRUCTIONAL TECHNIQUES: Identification, explanation, playway method, questions and answers, demonstration

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS: Posters/charts of plates, cutlery, water in a glass, cups, washing hand bowl, water, soap etc

Introduction of the topic

The teacher introduces the topic with a drama on good eating habits

Explanation

She explains good eating habits are the proper ways we should eat our food

She then explains some good eating habits demonstrating it with eating materials e.g

-      Using clean plates and cutlery to eat

-      Place water by your food side before you begin eating

-      Eat a little at a time

-      Wash your hands before and after eating

The teacher writes a short note on the board

NOTE

Good eating habits are the proper ways we should eat our food. Some good eating habits are:

  • Using clean plates and cutlery to eat
  • Place water by your food side before you begin eating
  • Eat a little at a time
  • Wash your hands before and after eating
