SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to

  2. Count the Birds
  3. Draw and Colour them with ease

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS: Activity book/Drawing book, Colours(coloured pencils, crayons, poster colours), pictures of different birds

STEP 1

INTRODUCTION

-The teacher uses the two little dicky birds song to introduce the topic and explains that Birds are flying animals

 

The teacher shows the children the pictures of different types of birds

Pupils pay attention

STEP 2

IDENTIFICATION

The teacher shows them the birds in their activity book and asks them to identify them

 

She then asks them to count the number of birds there are

 

Pupils draw and colour a bird following what the teacher does

STEP 3

DRAWING AND COLOURING

The teacher shares out their books for them to draw and colour a bird

 

 

EVALUATION:    1. Identify birds

  1. How many birds are in the activity book?
  2. Draw and Colour a bird

CLASSWORK: As in evaluation

CONCLUSION: The teacher commends the pupils positively
