STEP 1

INTRODUCTION

The teacher introduces the topic with the animal song;

She explains that a spider is a crawling insect

 

She tells them the different parts of a spider: eyes, abdomen etc 

The pupils pay attention and participate

STEP 2

EXPLANATION

The teacher explains the rhymes and shows them a drawn spider.

 

She also explains the wordings one after the other

Pupils listen

STEP 3

RECITATION

The teacher recites the rhyme as many times as possible and asks the pupils to do same.

 

The itsy-bitsy spider
Climbed up the water spout
Down came the rain
And washed the spider out
Out came the sun
And dried up all the rain
And the itsy-bitsy spider
Climbed up the spout again
