INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS: Activity book/Drawing book, Colours(coloured pencils, crayons, poster colours), pictures of different trees

STEP 1

INTRODUCTION

-The teacher uses the plants song and introduces the topic and explains that Trees are plants with trunk and wooden branches

 

The teacher shows the children the pictures of different types of trees

Pupils pay attention

STEP 2

IDENTIFICATION

The teacher shows them the trees in their activity book and asks them to identify them

She then asks them to count the number of trees there are

 

Pupils draw and colour a tree following what the teacher does

STEP 3

DRAWING AND COLOURING

The teacher shares out their books for them to draw and colour a tree

 

 

EVALUATION:    1. Identify trees

  1. How many trees are in the activity book?
  2. Draw and Colour a tree

CLASSWORK: As in evaluation

CONCLUSION: The teacher commends the pupils positively
