  1. Give simple meaning of table manners
  2. Discuss what to do while eating

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS: Charts showing different types of food, real food- rice, yam, noodles, eggs, ogbono, egusi, pictures of people observing table manners etc

INTRODUCTION

The teacher uses the Are you hungry song and introduces the topic and explains that table manners is the right habits we maintain while eating

-      Don’t talk while eating

-      Eat a little at a time

-      Don’t chew loudly and noisily

-      Keep your water beside you

She asks the pupils to each demonstrate the right table manners.

  • Don’t talk while eating
