  1. Discuss the prophet who prophesied about the birth of Jesus
  2. Describe the announcement of angels of the birth of Jesus

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS: toys, picture books showing the birth of Jesus, bible, story book, pictures of angels announcing the birth of Jesus

STEP 1

INTRODUCTION

The teacher uses J-E-S-U-S song to introduce the topic.

She explains that it was prophesied by Prophet Isaiah that Jesus was going to be born and that he will save the world

STEP 2

EXPLANATION

She then further explains Jesus’ parents were Joseph and Mary and that Jesus was born in a manger because there were no inns available.

 

She explains that a manger is where horses are kept

STEP 3

DEMONSTRATION

Using the bible story books and the pictures there in she tells the story of Jesus birth

-      He was born in Bethlehem

-      Angels announced his birth to shepherds in the field

-      Three wise men came from the east who saw Jesus’ star. They brought gifts: gold, myrhh and frankincense

Pupils pay attention and participate

 

EVALUATION:    1. __________ was where Jesus was born. (inn, manger)

  1. How many were the wise men who visited Jesus when he was born? (two, three)
  2. Who announced the birth of Jesus to the shepherds? (angels, satan)
