INTRODUCTION

The teacher uses the Are you hungry song and introduces the topic and explains that food is what we eat for energy and support to the body

EXPLANATION

She gives various examples of food such as

Egusi soup

Ogbono soup

Bitter leaf soup

Vegetable soup

Pupils pay attention and participates

DEMONSTRATION

She explains the functions of food:

-       For energy

-       To build strong muscles, bones and healthy teeth

-       To keep us falling sick

-       To maintain our body temperature
