ENTRY BEHAVIOUR – The pupils can count numbers 1150
SET INDUCTION – She uses number rhyme to arouse their interest

PERIOD I and II: Oral counting 1160. Writing 1120
STEPS  TEACHER’S ACTIVITY  PUPILS’ ACTIVITY 
I Introduction  The teacher introduces the new on the board  Pupils pay attention 
II Counting  Using the number chart, she counts number 1160 repeatedly.  Pupils repeat after her 
III Writing  She counts and write numbers on the board.  Pupils count along with her 
IV Number ending  She write the number endings 1160 on the board and also uses flashcards for easy understanding  Pupils count repeatedly 
Evaluation  Count and write numbers 1120 

Conclusion
 She marks their books and corrects them where necessary 

PERIOD III: writing 120

I Introduction  The teacher reviews the previous lesson and introduces new topic  Pupils pay attention 
II Number spelling  Using flashcards, she drills them on spelling 115 and then introduces 1620 Sixteen =16 Seventeen = 17 Eighteen = 18 Nineteen = 19 Twenty = 20 She drills them on spelling numbers 120  Pupils spell the numbers 
Evaluation  Write these numbers in words 15 = 18 = 16 = 19 = 17 = 20 =

PERIOD IV and V: Even numbers 3040, Addition
STEPS  TEACHER’S ACTIVITY  PUPILS’ ACTIVITY 
I Introduction  The teacher reviews the previous lesson and introduces the new topic  Pupils respond 
II Even numbers  She explains that even numbers are numbers that can be divided by 2 without remainder. They ends with 0, 2, 4, 6, 8  Pupils repeat after her 
III Writing  She displays the numbers on the flashcards and also writes them on the board  Pupils identify the numbers 
IV Addition  She introduces addition using countable objects 2 + 1 = 3 1 + 3 = 4 hhh + hh = 5  Pupils participate 
Evaluation  Circle the even numbers: 30 31 32 33 34 35 36 37 38 39 40 41 42 43 44 45 Add these numbers: 3 + 3 = 0 + 4 =
