SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to

1)Give simple meaning of dressing

2)Identify different cultural attires for the yorubas, hausas, and igbos

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS: Picture books, discarded materials, clothes, shoes, walking sticks, jewelry, coat

Introduction of the topic

The teacher introduces the topic with a  song on dressings

Pupils pay attention

WEEK 2

Explanation

She explains that dressings are those clothes we wear on our body.

She mentions different cultural attires for the Yorubas like iro and buba, igbos like isiagu aka chieftaincy, hausa like loose flowing gowns and trousers

Demonstration

She uses picture books, walking sticks, shoes etc to show the pupils the various cultural attires we have

NOTE TAKING

The teacher write a short note on the board for pupils to copy

NOTE

Dressings means the different clothes we wear on our bodies. The Yoruba women wear iro and buba, while their men wear agbada. The igbo women wear blouse and wrappers with gele, while their men wear isiagu aka chieftaincy. The hausa women wear loose gowns and trousers, while their men wear babanriga.
