STEP 1

INTRODUCTION

The teacher introduces the topic with the part of the body song;

 

She explains that a thumb is the biggest finger

 

She also explains that a pie is a baked food that has fruits, meat etc as filling

The pupils pay attention and participate

STEP 2

EXPLANATION

The teacher explains the rhymes and shows them the picture of a thumb, pie and Christmas

 

She also explains the wordings one after the other

Pupils listen

STEP 3

RECITATION

The teacher recites the rhyme as many times as possible and asks the pupils to do same.

 

Little Jack Horner
Sat in the corner,
Eating a Christmas pie;
He put in his thumb,
And pulled out a plum,
And said ‘What a good boy am I.
