SET INDUCTION –She uses number rhyme to arouse their interest

PERIODI: Counting numbers 1160 and writing 1110

I Introduction  The teacher reviews the previous lesson introduces the new topic  Pupils participate 
II Counting  Using the number chart, she counts number 1160 repeatedly.  Pupils repeat after her 
III Writing numbers  She counts and write numbers 1110 on the board, she also uses flashcards  Pupils count and write in their book 
IV Number ending  She write the number endings on the board and also uses flashcards  Pupils count 
Evaluation  Count and write numbers 1110 

Conclusion
 She marks their books and corrects them where necessary 

PERIODII& III: Number spelling and odd numbers

I Introduction  The teacher reviews the previous lesson introduces the new topic  Pupils participate 
II Number spelling  Using flashcards, she reviews spelling 110 and then introduces 1115. She also writes them on the board  Pupils spell the number 
III Drilling  She drills them on the spelling. Eleven = 11 Twelve = 12 Thirteen = 13 Fourteen = 14 Fifteen = 15 

IV Odd numbers  She reviews the explanation of odd numbers. She uses flashcards to present the numbers. 

Evaluation  Write numbers 1115 in words 11 = 12 = 13 = 14 = 15 – Circle the odd numbers 30 31 32 34 35 36 37 38 39 40 41 42 

Conclusion
 She marks their books and corrects them where necessary 

PERIOD IV & V: Solid shapes and subtraction

I Introduction  The teacher reviews the basic shapes and introduces the new topic  Pupils respond 
II Solid shapes  The teacher gives the examples of solid shapes  Pupils watch and listen 
III Identification  She shows them the solid shapes and objects that have shapes Examples: sugar has cube shape, box have cuboid shape, egg have oval shape etc  Pupils identify the shapes 
IV Subtraction  She explains that subtraction means minus or take away or removing numbers or objects. She shows them the minus sign ()
 Pupils participate

Evaluation  Identify these objects: Subtract these numbers: 8 – 3 = 4 – 2 = 2 – 2 = 

Conclusion
 She marks their books and corrects them where necessary
