TOPIC- Counting/identification of numbers 1-160

CONTENT – Writing 1-110, writing in words 1-15. Introduction to solid shapes and subtraction, numbers 1-5, odd numbers 31-49

INSTRUCTIONAL OBJECTIVES – By the end of the lesson, the pupils should be able to –

  1. Count and identify numbers 1-160
  2. Write numbers 1-110
  3. Spell and write numbers 1-15 in words
  4. Identify solid shapes
  5. Subtract numbers
  6. Recognize odd numbers 31-49

INSTRUCTIONAL TECHNIQUES – Explanation, repetition, questions and answers

ENTRY BEHAVIOUR – The pupils can count numbers 1-150 and spell numbers 1-10

SET INDUCTION –She uses number rhyme to arouse their interest

She write the number endings on the board and also uses flashcards

Fifteen = 15

 

IV

Odd numbers

She reviews the explanation of odd numbers. She uses flashcards to present the numbers.

Subtraction

She explains that subtraction means minus or take away or removing numbers or objects. She shows them the minus sign (-)
