SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to

  1. Identify snakes
  2. Count the snakes
  3. Draw and Colour them with ease

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS: Activity book/Drawing book, Colours (coloured pencils, crayons, poster colours), pictures of snakes, models of snakes

STEP 1

INTRODUCTION

The teacher uses the wild animals song and introduces the topic and explains that a snake is an animal that crawls on it belly.

It is a very harmful animal and should not be played with

She tells the children to report to their parents or any available adult whenever they see any snake around them

 

Pupils pay attention

STEP 2

IDENTIFICATION

The teacher shows them the snakes in their activity book and asks them to identify them

 

She then asks them to count the number of snakes there are

DRAWING AND

COLOURING

The teacher shares out their books for them to draw and colour the snakes with colour green as the teacher draws and colours hers on the board

The pupils draw and colour following the leading of the teacher

 

EVALUATION:    1. Identify a snake

  1. How many snakes are in the activity book?
  2. Draw and Colour the snakes

CLASSWORK: As in evaluation

CONCLUSION: The teacher commends the pupils positively
