TOPIC- Counting numbers 1-150

CONTENT – Number ending, writing 1-100, fill in the missing numbers 1-100. Number in words 1-10. Addition of numbers 1-10, sensorial: number rod

INSTRUCTIONAL OBJECTIVES – By the end of the lesson, the pupils should be able to –

  1. Count and identify numbers 1-150
  2. Write numbers 1-100
  3. Spell and write numbers 1-10 in words
  4. Add numbers
  5. Identify even numbers

Number spelling

She spells numbers 1-10 repeatedly using flashcards. She then writes the numbers on the board

Even numbers

She explains that even numbers are numbers that can be divided by 2 without remainder. She writes the even numbers from 2-30, thus: 2 4 6 8 10 12 14 16 18 20 22 24 26 28 30.

She explains that even numbers always have 2 4 6 8 0 at their back
