SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson, the pupils should be able to

  1. Give simple meaning of waste
  2. Discuss the two types of waste

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS: waste disposal materials e.g dust bin, brooms, parker, paper, carton, leaves, waste water etc

Introduction of the topic

The teacher introduces the topic with a story on waste

Explanation

She tells the children that refuse means anything we need to throw away which are no longer useful to us. Waste is another word for refuse

Demonstration

She explains to them that there are two types of waste

-      Solid waste e.g paper, leaves, bottles, biscuit and sweet wrappers

-      - liquid waste e.g urine, water from drainage etc

Waste is another word for refuse

There are two types of waste
