SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to;

1) List the various forms of child abuse.

2) Explain the various forms of child abuse.

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS: Posters, Charts, and Pictures of children in special difficult circumstances.

STEP 1

INTRODUCTION

The teacher uses the method of set induction on the previous topic (Child Abuse Practices ) to introduce the new topic (Forms of Child Abuse).

The teacher explains that child abuse is the physical, emotional, and sexual maltreatment of a child.

EXPLANATION

The teacher further explains to them, that there are various forms of child abuse; which are:

Physical Abuse: (hitting, slapping, punching, and strangling of the child).

Emotional Abuse: (name-calling, insulting, isolation of the child).

Sexual Abuse: (touching the private part of a child).

Using the Poster, Charts, and Pictures of children in dangerous circumstances, the teacher shows the pupils, the various forms of child abuse practices.
