ENTRY BEHAVIOUR – The pupils can count 1110
SET INDUCTION – She uses number rhyme to arouse their interest

PERIOD I & II: Counting 1110 and writing 170

I Introduction  The teacher revise the previous lesson and introduces the new topic  Pupils participate 
II Counting  Using the number chart, the teacher counts numbers 1110 repeatedly.  Pupils repeat after her 
III Writing  She writes the number on the board and encourage the pupils to count after her. She also uses flashcards for easy identification  Pupils respond 
Evaluation  Count and write numbers 170 

Conclusion
 She marks their books and corrects them where necessary 

PERIOD III & IV: Writing 15 in words, filling the missing numbers 170

I Introduction  The teacher revise the previous lesson and introduces the new topic  Pupils participate 
II Number spelling  She explains that we can spell numbers in words. Using the flashcards, she spells thus: one =1, two =2, three =3, four = 4, five = 5  Pupils observe and participate 
III Writing  She writes the number on the board and spells repeatedly.  Pupils repeat after her 
IV Filling the missing numbers  She writes numbers 170 on the board with some numbers missing. 1 __ 3 __ 5 __ 7 __ 9 __ 11 __ 13 __ 15 __ 17 __ 19 __ to 70. She counts and fills the missing numbers  Pupils participate 
Evaluation  Write 15 in words Fill in the missing numbers 1 __ 3 __ 5 __ 7 __ 9 __ 11 __ 13 __ 15 __ 17 __ 19 __ 21 __ 23 __ 25…70. 

Conclusion
 She marks their books and corrects them where necessary 

PERIOD V: Odd numbers 19

II Odd numbers  She explains the odd numbers are numbers that 2 cannot divide equally  Pupils repeat after her 
III Identification  Using flashcards, she displays the numbers and also writes them on the board. 1 3 5 7 9  Pupils identify the numbers 
Evaluation  Circle the odd numbers 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9
