STEP 1

INTRODUCTION

The teacher introduces the topic with the if you’re happy and you know it song;

 

She explains that a brown girl is a young girl with a brown skin

 

She also explains that a ring is when people join hands together in a circle

The pupils pay attention and participate

STEP 2

EXPLANATION

The teacher explains the rhymes and shows them the picture of a brown girl in the ring

She also explains the wordings one after the other

Pupils listen

STEP 3

RECITATION

The teacher recites the rhyme as many times as possible and asks the pupils to do same.

There's a brown girl in the ring

Brown girl in the ring
Tra la la la la
And she looks like a sugar in a plum
