CONTENT – Identification and writing

INSTRUCTIONAL OBJECTIVES – By the end of the lesson, the pupils should be able to –

  1. Identify the vowel sounds
  2. Associate vowels to pictures
  3. Write the vowels

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS – flash cards, chart, pictures,

INSTRUCTIONAL TECHNIQUES – Explanation, repetition, questions and answers

ENTRY BEHAVIOUR – The pupils can identify letters

SET INDUCTION – She uses vowel rhyme to arouse their interest

Vowel sounds

She explains that out of the 26 alphabet letters that 5 of them are called vowels

Pupils pay attention

Identification

Using flashboards, she presents the vowels to the pupils.
