PERIOD I and II: Identification of the vowel sounds

I Introduction	The teacher revises the previous lesson and introduces the new one	Pupils participate
II Vowel sounds	She explains that out of the 26 alphabet letters that 5 of them are called vowels	Pupils pay attention
III Identification	Using flashboards, she presents the vowels to the pupils. A E I O U a e i o u she also writes them on the board for easy identification.	Pupils identify and call out the vowels

Conclusion	She corrects them where necessary and commend them

PERIOD III and IV: Writing and association to object
