STEP 1

INTRODUCTION

The teacher introduces the topic with the weather song;

She explains that a rainbow is an arc that consists of seven colours: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet

The pupils pay attention and participate

STEP 2

EXPLANATION

The teacher explains the rhymes and shows them the picture of a beautiful rainbow

She also explains the wordings one after the other

Pupils listen

STEP 3

RECITATION

The teacher recites the rhyme as many times as possible and asks the pupils to do same.

One day the sun was shining bright
But some clouds came along and it became black as night

Then the rain began to sprinkle onto the ground

And soon it was raining all over the town.
But when the clouds had passed on by
A big beautiful rainbow stretched across the sky
