INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS: Activity book/Drawing book, Colours(coloured pencils, crayons, poster colours), pictures of the four basic shapes

STEP 1

INTRODUCTION

The teacher uses the shapes song and introduces the topic and explains that shapes can be found everywhere in nature. Shapes are form in which objects came

The teacher shows them the our basic shapes in their activity book and asks them to identify them

 

She then asks them to count the number of circles, rectangles, triangles and squares there are

The teacher shares out their books for them to draw and colour the four basic shapes as the teacher draws and colours hers on the board

The pupils draw and colour following the leading of the teacher

 

EVALUATION:    1. Identify a circle, triangle, square and rectangle

  1. How many of each basic shape are in the activity book?
  2. Draw and Colour the basic shapes

CLASSWORK: As in evaluation

CONCLUSION: The teacher commends the pupils positively
