INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS: pebbles, glass nuggets, gummed paper shapes, foam, sweets, pasta shapes, nuts / seeds/ items from nature walks such as acorns, conkers, beans, glue, scissors, carboard

STEP 1 INTRODUCTION	The teacher uses the colour song and introduces the topic and explains that Mosaic is when we make beautiful pictures from colourful tiles of different shapes and sizes.	Pupils pay attention
STEP 2 IDENTIFICATION	The teacher shows them all the materials e.g pebbles, carboards, sweets, nuts etc and what they will be used for	Pupils participate
STEP 3 PRATICALS	The teacher then commences the practicals by applying glue to the canvas she’s chosen (e.g cardboard) then begin sticking pebbles, nuts and sweets to it to create a beautiful picture	The pupils pay attention and participate
