Specific Objectives: By the end of the lesson, the pupils should be able to:

  1. Count number 1- 200 and number endings 9 - 170
  2. Write Number in words 1-10
  3. Identify fractions ½ and whole
  4. Carry out simple subtraction
  5. Identify some money denominations

Instructional Materials: Counters, flash cards 

Instructional Techniques: Explanation, demonstration, repetition, questions and answers 

Entry Behaviour:  The teacher arouses them with number rhymes

Periods I-II: Counting of numbers 1-200 number endings 9 – 170
