SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to

  1. Identify Apples
  2. Count the apples
  3. Draw and Colour them with ease

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS: Activity book/Drawing book, Colours(coloured pencils, crayons, poster colours), pictures of apples, real apples

STEP 1

INTRODUCTION

The teacher uses the fruit song and introduces the topic and explains that an apple is a fruit that we eat and it nourishes our body

 

She explains that apple come in two colours: red and green

Pupils pay attention

STEP 2

IDENTIFICATION

The teacher shows them the apples in their activity book and asks them to identify them

 

She then asks them to count the number of apples there are

 

Pupils participate

STEP 3

DRAWING AND COLOURING

The teacher shares out their books for them to draw and colour some of the apples with green and some with red as she draws and colours hers on the board

The pupils draw and colour and following the teacher’s leading

 

EVALUATION:    1. Identify an apple

  1. How many apples are in the activity book?
  2. Draw and Colour the apple

CLASSWORK: As in evaluation

CONCLUSION: The teacher commends the pupils positively
