INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS: Activity book/Drawing book, Colours(coloured pencils, crayons, poster colours), pictures of triangles, objects that are triangular in shape

INSTRUCTIONAL PROCEDURES

 PRESENTATION TEACHER’S ACTIVITY PUPIL’S ACTIVITY STEP 1INTRODUCTION -The teacher uses the shapes song and introduces the topic and explains that Triangle is a shape that has three sides. She shows them objects like traffic signs, roofs etc that are triangular in shape Pupils pay attention STEP 2IDENTIFICATION The teacher shows them the triangles in their activity book and asks them to identify themShe then asks them to count the number of triangles there are Pupils participate STEP 3DRAWING AND COLOURING The teacher shares out their books for them to draw and colour the triangles with colour green as she draws and colours hers on the board The pupils draw and colour following the teacher’s leading

EVALUATION:    1. Identify triangles

1. How many triangles are in the activity book?
2. Draw and Colour a triangle
