STEP 1

INTRODUCTION

The teacher introduces the topic with the animal song;

 

She explains a cock-horse is Something a child rides astride as if on a horse, such as a stick with a model of a horse's head at one end, or an adult's legs.

The pupils pay attention and participate

STEP 2

EXPLANATION

The teacher explains the rhymes and shows them a picture of a fine lady with rings on her hands and toes riding on a cock horse

 

She also explains the wordings one after the other

Pupils listen

STEP 3

RECITATION

The teacher recites the rhyme as many times as possible and asks the pupils to do same.

 

Ride a cock-horse to Banbury Cross,
To see a fine lady upon a white horse;
Rings on her fingers and bells on her toes,
And she shall have music wherever she goes
