  3. Recite the rhymes with ease

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS: Collection of poems and rhymes book, pictures of a parents(daddy and mummy) and their children, pictures of a boat

STEP 1

INTRODUCTION

The teacher introduces the topic with the if you’re happy and you know it song;

 

She explains that daddy and mummy are our parents

 

She also explains that a boat is a used to travel on the water

The pupils pay attention and participate

STEP 2

EXPLANATION

The teacher explains the rhymes and shows them shows them the picture of a parents and their children, pictures of a boat

 

She also explains the wordings one after the other

Pupils listen

STEP 3

RECITATION

The teacher recites the rhyme as many times as possible and asks the pupils to do same.

 

Dance to your Daddy, my little laddie
Dance to your Daddy my little man
Dance to your Daddy sing to your mommy
Dance to your Daddy my little man

You shall have a fishy on a little dishy
You shall have a fishy when the boat comes in
You shall have a herring on a little dishy
You shall have a herring when the boat comes in

Come here me little Jacky
Now aw’ve smoked mi backy
Have a bit o’ cracky
Till the boat comes in
