SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to

  1. Identify the various outer parts of the body
  2. Count the various outer parts of the body
  3. Draw and Colour it with ease

INSTRUCTIONAL TECHNIQUES: Identification, explanation, playway method, questions and answers

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS: Activity book/Drawing book, Colours(coloured pencils, crayons, poster colours), pictures of a well labeled body, pupils as learning resource

STEP 1

INTRODUCTION

The teacher uses the part of the body song and introduces the topic and explains that the human body consists of various outer parts such as the eyes, nose, mouth, ears etc while showing them each

 

She explains that every human being has a body

Pupils pay attention

STEP 2

IDENTIFICATION

The teacher shows them the human body in their activity book and asks them to identify them

 

She then asks them to count the number of each parts of the body they can see

 

Pupils participate

STEP 3

DRAWING AND COLOURING

The teacher shares out their books for them to draw and colour the body with brown colour and the hair with black colour as she draws and colours hers on the board

The pupils draw and colour following the teacher’s leading

 

EVALUATION:    1. Identify the various parts of the body

  1. How many eyes, nose, ears etc are in the body in the activity book?
  2. Draw and Colour the body and the hair

CLASSWORK: As in evaluation

CONCLUSION: The teacher commends the pupils positively
