STEP 1 INTRODUCTION | The teacher uses the Go down, go down to Egypt song to introduce the topic and explains that Moses’ birth came at a time in Egypt when all newly born male children were killed | Pupils pay attention |
STEP 2 EXPLANATION | She explains that when Moses was born, His parents, Amram and Jochebed couldn’t bear to kill Moses so they hid him in the house for three months She further explains that after 3 months they could no longer hide him so he was packaged in a basket and kept on the bank of the river Nile and watched by his sister from a distance

STEP 3 DEMONSTRATION | She further explains that - When pharaoh’s daughter came to bath at the river, she saw Moses, picked him up and raise him in the palace - When Moses grew up he fought with an Egyptian and fled Egypt in order to be killed too - While he was away he became a shepherd - While he took the flock grazing someday, he saw a burning bush - A voice told him to remove his shoes because he was on a holy ground. - From the bush God called and sent him to go to tell Pharaoh to let the people of God go | Pupils pay attention and participate |

NOTE
Moses was kept at the bank of the river where Pharaoh’s daughter saw him, took him and brought him up. When Moses grew up, he killed an Egyptian and fled. Where he fled to, he became a shepherd. One day, when he took his flock to graze, he heard a voice from the burning bush. God called and sent him to go and tell Pharaoh to, “Let my people go”
