STEP 1 INTRODUCTION  | The teacher introduces the topic with the if you’re happy and you know it song; 
 She explains that a feather is light weights that grows on a bird’s body 
 She also explains that a hat is a head covering 
 She also explains that a pony is a small horse  | The pupils pay attention and participate  | 
STEP 2 EXPLANATION  | The teacher explains the rhymes and shows them shows them the picture of a feather, a hat, a pony, and a middle-aged man

STEP 3 RECITATION  | The teacher recites the rhyme as many times as possible and asks the pupils to do same.
